PRESIDENT: Amira Staller
My name is Amira Staller and I am slated for the position of PTO President for the 2019-2020 school year. My husband Brad and I have three children, Tova, Jack and Ariana. Tova is in currently in Fourth grade, Jack is in Second grade and Ari is in Kindergarten, all here at Condit Elementary. I am currently serving as the VP of Finance in the role of Reach for the Stars Business where I encourage sponsorships and donations from local businesses in the Bellaire area. I am currently a Room Parent for Mrs. Garibaldi and try to volunteer as much as I can within the school. Outside of Condit, I am a small business owner, serve on the Board of Directors at the ERJCC and am a busy mom of children who love extracurricular activities. I truly love Condit and look forward to continuing my position on the PTO Board working with all the amazing teachers, administrators and parents to make this next year another great year!

PRESIDENT ELECT / VP OF FINANCE – FAMILY: Jean Lee
My name is Jean Lee and I am honored to be slated for President-Elect and VP of Finance: Family for the 2019-2020 school year. My husband Ed and I have a daughter, Lauren, who is in Mrs. Tomlinson’s second grade class and a son, Benjamin, who is in Sra. Sotomayor’s kinder class. I have served as co-room parent for the last 3 years, as a library volunteer and enjoy helping the kids in the cafeteria when I come to lunch twice a week for my kids. This year I will also serve as co-chair for the 2nd year for Field Day. Outside of Condit, I continue to work part-time as a consultant for my previous job in marketing planning/finance with Sony Music and you can also find me in an Orangetheory class or punching a bag in a boxing class. We are a proud Condit family and I look forward to more opportunities to contribute to Condit’s amazing learning environment.

TREASURER: Edie Efron
I am Edie Efron and I am honored to be slated to be Treasurer for the 2019-2020 school year. My husband, Eric, and I have three children: Sophie is in kindergarten this year, Blake is almost three, and Lucy was born in January! This school year I chaired Staff Appreciation, Condit Night Out, and Kindergarten Summer Socials. I am also a room parent, library helper, and was on the gala committee. Volunteering at our school is a passion of mine! Before having children, I was a first grade teacher and literacy leader for eleven years. I keep my feet wet in the educational field by working part time for a local literacy enrichment company called LEAP (Literacy Enrichment and Play) as a curriculum coordinator. Our family loves being a part of the Condit community, and I excited for this role on the PTO board and to contribute to our amazing school!

VP OF VOLUNTEERING: Holly Koehn
My name is Holly Koehn and I am honored to be slated for VP of Volunteers for 2019/2020. This is my 7th year to have a child at Condit. My daughter Shelby is in 2nd grade and my older daughter Kylie, is in middle school. This will be my second year for the VP of Volunteers position. I also served as VP of Social/Community Services the two prior years.  The past several years I have enjoyed getting to know the Condit Community by chairing Sociables, Family Fun Night, and Condit Night Out and being on Condit Gala and 5th Grade Graduation Committees.  To keep up my profession I work part-time as a Dental Hygienist.  The thing I love most about Condit is the parent involvement and the many programs the PTO can support.

VP OF FINANCE – BUSINESS: Jennifer Friedberg
My name is Jennifer Friedberg and I am slated to serve as VP of Finance – Business to work on the Reach for the Stars Campaign. My husband, Andrew, and I have two children, Julia who is in 1st grade here at Condit, and Sam, who is in 3rd grade at The Joy School. Julia has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Condit and we’re proud to be a part of the school community. This year, I am co-chairing the Staff Appreciation committee, and I also volunteer to help in the classroom and at various school programs. Outside of Condit, I am a member of the Patrons for Bellaire Parks board and recently co-chaired the silent auction for the Patron’s Wine & Tapas event. I work part-time as Communications Manager for the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve on the PTO Board and look forward to another wonderful school year!

VP OF EXTERNAL COMM./STUDENT ACTIVITIES: Mackenzie Knape
My name is Mackenzie Knape and I am honored to be slated as VP of External Communications for the 2018-2019 school year. My husband Ryan and I have 3 children – Patrick is in the 3rd grade, Claire is in Kindergarten and James is 3 yrs. old and in preschool at Westbury Methodist. I currently am in charge of the Community Bulletin Board and served as a room parent for the past 3 years. I love volunteering in the library, chaperoning field trips and being a Mystery Reader. I have also served on the AR Store Committee. When I’m not doing Mom duties, my husband and I run Knape Cattle Co., raising and selling grass fed beef in nearby Alvin, TX. I also enjoy working out at Crossfit Central Houston in my free time to keep up with my very active family. Before becoming a stay at home mom, I ran Goose Down Farms, a B&B guesthouse in Eagle Lake and did outside sales for the Tootie Pie Company. I love our Condit community and look forward to this opportunity to serve on the PTO board.

VP OF INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS: Rachel Pasternak
My name is Rachel Pasternak and I am slated to become the VP of Internal Communications. My son Charlie is currently in 3rd grade at Condit and my daughter Sydney is in 1st grade. We have loved Condit from the start and I really enjoy being a part of the Condit community by volunteering here. My first year I was co-chair of the Hospitality Committee and last year I joined the Sociables Committee. I am also currently the VP of External Communications. Outside of Condit I work as a Job Coach for an organization that works in the Autism Community. I am excited to continue my role as a PTO Board Member and will do my best as the VP of Internal Communications!

VP OF SOCIAL/COMMUNITY SERVICE: Julie Dabney
I am honored to be slated for the Social and Community Services position for the 2019-2020 school year. My son, Charlie, is in second grade this year and my daughter, Emily, is in Kindergarten. Our family loves being part of the Condit community, and I am so happy that our children go to school here. This year I co-chaired the Kindergarten Socials and have previously volunteered with the Gala, Field Day and the Fall Carnival. I also love to volunteer on field trips! Professionally, I work in finance at an oil & gas company. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve on the PTO Board, and I am looking forward to another great year at Condit!

VP OF SCHOOL SERVICES/SUPPORT: Rebecca Grazier
My name is Rebecca Grazier and I am honored to be slated for my second year as VP of School Services/Support. My husband Paul and I have 2 daughters – Lily is in the 4th grade and Ella is in the 2nd grade dual language class. I currently co-chair the School Supply & Carnival committees and continue to help with room parent duties, library, and field trips. I work as a consultant for a software company but try to take every opportunity to volunteer with the kids at school. I love our Condit community and look forward to continuing my position on the PTO board.

PAST PRESIDENT/PARLIAMENTARIAN: Esther Puig
My name is Esther Puig and I am slated to be next year’s parliamentarian. My husband Jorge and I are proud parents of 2 active boys, Nicholas (7th grader at Pin Oak) and Lucas (2nd grader). I am currently serving as President and enjoy serving the community as well as running a small healthcare company specializing in providing care to children with disabilities and special needs. I look forward to continuing to serve on the board with an amazing group of members and collaborating with the principal, teachers, parents and students in making it another awesome year!

SDMC REPRESENTATIVE: Shana Halvorsen
I will be serving the second year of my 2-year term as one of the two elected SDMC PTO representatives for the 2019-2020 school year. My husband Erik and I have a 4th grade daughter, Dylan (at Lovett Elementary), and a 1st grade son, Hunter, here at Condit.  We moved to Bellaire in 2016 from Boston, MA, and we couldn’t be happier with the warmth of both the weather and the people that we’ve met since arriving. Over the past few years, I have been an active member of the PTO serving as a volunteer and/or committee member at Field Day, Book Fair, Boosterthon, Library, and Gala fundraising.  I have also coached Condit teams for “Odyssey of the Mind” and “Name That Book.”  Before moving to Texas, I worked as an attorney and hope to return to the field when my kids are a little older. Since moving to Texas, I have also become an activist and advocate for parents of children with disabilities (as a parent of one myself), and outside of school I serve on the HISD Office of Special Education Services Advisory Committee, and I am one of the founding members of “Houston Parents for Inclusion” (HPI). I look forward to serving another year in this role on the SDMC and working with the school to continue making it the best it can be for our children!

SDMC REPRESENTATIVE: Stacy Sederis
I am slated to serve as one of two SDMC PTO representatives for a 2-year term beginning in the 2019-20 school year.  My husband Dave and I have twin third grade boys, Christopher and Andrew, and a second grade daughter, Ella.  All three of our children are in the dual language program at Condit.  Since joining the Condit community, I have served as room parent for all three of our children and have enjoyed volunteering for many different activities, including Field Day, Fall Carnival, and attending as many field trips as possible.  Outside of school, I am a criminal defense attorney.  I look forward serving in this role for the next two years and becoming even more involved at Condit!
