I have also served on the Sociables Committee for 5 years in addition to helping with the library, Book fair, and serving as a room parent. I currently am involved as a co-chair for Field day this school year. I work part-time as a Physician Assistant, which allows me to be involved with the school and boys’ activities. Our family enjoys Condit very much and we look forward to many more happy years at Condit!

VP OF VOLUNTEERING: HOLLY KOEHN

My name is Holly Koehn and I am honored to be slated for VP of Volunteers for 2018/19.

This is my 6th year to have kids at Condit.  My daughter Kylie is in 5th and I have a younger daughter, Shelby, in 1st grade.  I have served on the board the past two years as the VP of Social/Community Services.

The past several years I have enjoyed getting to know the Condit Community by chairing Sociables, Family Fun Night, and Condit Night Out.  This year I was on the Condit Gala and 5th Grade Graduation Committees.  I’m also a room parent and enjoy volunteering in the AR store, Field Day, and many other activities.

To keep up my profession I work part-time as a Dental Hygienist.

The thing I love most about Condit is the parent involvement and the many programs the PTO is able to support.

SDMC REPRESENTATIVE: SHANA HALOVERSON

I am slated to serve as one of the two SDMC PTO representatives for a 2-year term beginning in the 2018-2019 school year.  My husband Erik and I have a third grade daughter, Dylan (at Lovett Elementary), and a Condit Cat Kindergarten student, Hunter.  We moved to Bellaire two years ago from Boston, MA, and we couldn’t be happier with the warmth of both the weather and the people that we’ve met since arriving. Over the past two years, I have been an active member of the PTO serving as a volunteer and/or committee member at Field Day, Book Fair, Boosterthon, Library, and Gala fundraising. This year I also coached a team for Odyssey of the Mind.  Before moving to Texas, I worked as an attorney and hope to return to the field when my kids are a little older.  Since moving to Texas, I have also become an activist and advocate for parents of children with disabilities (as a parent of one myself), and outside of school I serve on the Ad Hoc Special Education Committee that advises the HISD Board of Trustees, and I am one of the founding members of “Houston Parents for Inclusion” (HPI).  I look forward to serving in this role on the SDMC and working with the school to continue making it the best it can be for our children!
